December 25:
Virtual Makeover; The Morning After Sale; A Very Late Donut

After the presents are unwrapped and you've stuffed yourself with Christmas turkey, what do you do? Normal people would sleep it off, but if you've gotten this far, you realize we're far from normal. We went driving, naturally, and ended up going all over the map...

Things got off to a bad start because of this: Jason's computer. Like we don't suffer from technosis already... Here you see Paul playing with the latest toy, Cosmopolitan's Virtual Makeover, a program that places various high-fashion hairstyles on photos you supply. Remember this, it'll be important later.

We got out of the house around 3 AM, after driving over to pick up Dan. We also switched cars at this point, because the Smogmobile 2000™ had too much junk to seat four comfortably. Driving by the local shopping center, we noticed a large congregation in front of the patio furniture store. Curious, we stopped to investigate....

Turns out, these people were all waiting for the store to open so they could take advantage of the 1/2 price sale. We're not talking a few shopaholics; there was quite a crowd, especially for a store that is dead empty the other 364 days of the year.

A minor break to discuss the possibility of visiting TBN [audio clip] which was rejected because of the lateness of the hour.

As we left the SRL, we passed a bank with a display of the current temperature, prompting an unusual (and purile) discussion [audio clip].

We ended up getting on the 22 East and heading out to Orange, to an area that used to be called "The City" and is now called "The Block." It's a younger, hipper mall, as you can tell by the logo. We figure when this mall falls flat on its face, the next mall will be "The Curb," or possibly "The Rain Gutter."

Dan then proceeds to get us nearly killed [audio clip].

At this point, people were getting hungry. Normally, we'd head off to Denny's and annoy our favorite waitress, but Dan, being the driver, had perogative. He shanghaied us and took us to Pomona, forcing us to go to a Chinese food, donuts, and burgers drive-thru.

Pomona has an interesting environs [audio clip].

Only an idiot would ignore the obvious signs that this donut shop was a front for Illuminati activity.
