Strangely enough, the longer the vacation, the fewer photographs we seem to take. Also, the audio clips that were posted last month appear to have been a fluke.... On the plus side, Jason has made serious inroads in his war against Christmas light icicles by systematically disabling strands.
Rob arrived very late the previous night, and Paul had to work on Christmas Eve for GTE (motto: "Bah! Humbug!"). Rob wasn't bored, however; he kept himself amused by watching the comical capers of the local fire department as they tried to shut off the water to a broken hydrant.
Christmas Eve usually isn't a disappointment, but by the time everything was coordinated and we managed to escape the Pitcher Plant of Jason's House, most of the Christmas lights were out. Still, one street managed to keep the spirit alive by setting candles in inflammable bags along their median strip.
