Arriving at the airport, Rob was rudely shoved by a witch, who cackled her way through security. That was it for Friday: taking this photo drained the batteries from the camera, which meant...
RADIO SHACK! Yes, nirvana to technogeeks who claim to loathe it but really love it. Not only did we pick up a battery charger, but also the components to build a voltage level checker. We couldn't get the thing working though. Curse you, Forrest M. Mims III, curse you!
- HOMER
- We'll search every place a sick, twisted misfit would hang out in!
- LISA
- I'll start with Radio Shack!
The next big stop of the night was Westminster Mall. What, no party?!? Yeah, yeah, blame Paul. He was in charge of entertainment...
Here was where Rob noticed a disturbing trend: way, way, way too many ninjas. Apparently everyone was dressing as a ninja for Halloween. It was like being trapped in a Steven Segal movie, except with better acting.
Yes, like any red-blooded American male, Rob does enjoy the lemonade from Hot Dog on a Stick, and not just for the refreshing flavor.
This geek is supposed to encourage an interest in math?
Neat photo taken through the open back door of Mrs. Field's Cookies: a guy eating a bowl of cereal.
Is Rob in desperate need of a date, or does he have a thing for women in French maid outfits?
We were supposed to meet Dan at the mall, so that he could show us a Beanie Baby that he planned to set on fire. By the time Paul and Rob found him, their interest had waned in the senseless destruction of over-merchandised consumer goods.
Dan did provide some entertainment. Aside from noticing a photo op for the gallery, he saw an ad for yet another proprietary API for Java.
On the way to the mall, Rob had Paul stop the Smogmobile 2000™ so that he could rescue a half-deflated mylar balloon. Unfortunately, Paul wasn't exactly "with it" and failed to capture this brave act for posterity.
Thanks to technology developed by America's Most Wanted, we were able to reconstruct the event for your viewing pleasure.
