February 15:
The Horror of Fry's Electronics

We left reasonably late in the afternoon. Paul had to do some errands so we decided to get them out of the way first.

Someone once described a personalized licence plate as haiku in seven letters. They must have been thinking of this one. What is it? "Love Officer GE?" "Love Of Charge?" "Love Of Surge?" We argued about it for almost a half-hour.

On the way to the store, we came across this cool car. He paced us for quite a bit, then he must have realized he could shift into second and did so, flying past us at about eighty-five. (Then again, he may just have been trying to read our stupid bumper sticker.)

Since one of Paul's errands involved returning something to Fry's Electronics, the rest of the day was effectively a wash. (For those unfamiliar with Fry's, it is a large consumer electronics store with extremely dubious customer service.)

On the way back from Fry's (and, if you notice, quite late in the afternoon), we came across a fully-loaded jet fuel transport. Maybe I'm really being picky, but can you trust someone to transport fuel on a busy freeway when they cannot even space letters properly on the back of their tanker truck?

Later that night, just after dinner (at Pizza Hut), I noted this curious phenomenon: Paul's dashboard compass had a bacterial culture in it. While I knew the Smogmobile was dangerous, I never viewed it as a biohazard.

(The last photo of the night went directly to the gallery.)
