Just before the day runs out, here’s a quick something for the oft-forgotten Webcomic Wednesday, the increasingly onerous semi-regular feature. But hey! it beats trying to be creative.
Kiagi: Sword-wielding feline hero, ineffective Lothario, good-for-nothing bum. He’s ready to save the world… as soon as curvy roommate drags his furry ass off the couch.
Action, Furry/Funny Animal, Humor.
Monday-Wednesday-Friday, with plans to move back to a daily format.
Over 150 strips.
Artwork is superb, humor is above par (albeit scatological at times).
References pop-culture indirectly, while avoiding direct parody plots.
(OK, there was the Batman chemical plant sequence, and the Batman-esque amusement park fight sequence, and Dwayne the Batman wannabe… uh, anyone else seeing a pattern here?)
Ben Stein as a psychopathic stalker. ’nuff said.
Few jokes make sense out of context, requiring an investment of reviewing the archives.
Occasional all-action strip unnecessarily extends plot lines: a general problem with adventure strips.
