The Wabe → Bitter Nerd™ Reviews → Fight Cast or Evade
I was a little leery about the subject of today’s review. First, it’s a Keenspace comic, which is to say it gets enough publicity through self-serving link-farms as it is. Second, it is also one of the self-proclaimed “unholy trinity of furry webcomics”—the others being Umlaut House and Badly Drawn Kitties—so I’m sure to incur the wrath of the anti-furry faction. Still, it’s a damn fine comic and I was working late and I didn’t have time to choose another comic so bite me.

Yerzle’s an ex-huntsman who’s decided to become a little more entrepreneurial. Now his ragtag team of a samurai, a warrior, a magician, and a thief go hunting for adventure… dragons… treasure… cheap rent… odd jobs…
Despite the title, has very little gaming influence.

Monday-Wednesday-Friday
Almost 700 strips.
Modern mundane annoyances transplanted into a fantasy setting.
Really punny tavern names.
Recent plots have become deeply complex, making it difficult for the casual or novice reader. Example: the current plot started a year ago last June.
Protracted battles unnecessarily extend plot lines and subsume humor.
