It's a small room with only the most essential furnishings. A twin sized bed, a wooden desk, stacks of books. There is one large window over the bed letting sunshine into the room. The room is bright and comfortable, slightly warm but window lets in a cool breeze. Everything is quiet and still.
The forest is dark but some light shines through the trees. It is cool and smells of moist soil and rain. The trees are tall and large sequoias and the ferns and moss on the ground are in every shade of green.
The path is barely visible and winds around the trees and rocks and goes up and down hills. There are no obstructions but it is difficult to follow because it is unclear.
It is a river that cuts through the forest. It is narrow enough to jump over it. The bed of the river is full of smooth rocks and pebbles and the water is crystal clear and ice cold.
It is a hollow gourd, like a bowl. It is smooth on the inside and outside and fits easily into my hands.
Its a rusty old skeleton key with jagged teeth. I think it unlocks an old chest or a secret door hidden in the forest.
