A cool breeze is blowing through the sunroom. Shades of green and white dominate. White wicker furniture with comfortable cushions adorn the room. Three sides of the room are comprised solely of large windows, all open to allow the fresh air into the very comfortable room. Colorful photographs of friends are hanging on the walls.
You see a perfect pine forest. It is comprised almost entirely of pine trees, although a few tall white birches appear here and there. The forest subdues the light with the massive pine trees. The wonderful smell of pine needles, both fresh and fallen, permeates the air. The forest has an almost eerie quiet to it, as pine needles muffle every footstep.
The path is made completely of fallen pine needles. It winds throughout the forest, between the pines. The well-travelled path runs right through the middle of the forest. It is easy to see, as the path has been compressed by the many travellers who come this way.
The path leads directly to a river. The river is calm, clear and shallow. You hear the occasional gurgling of the water against some smooth, large rocks.
The flask that you find is ornate. It is made of gold and silver and studded with precious and semi-precious jewels. It sparkles brightly in the sunlight, as if light was emanating from its center. The flask has significant heft and you can tell there is liquid within.
The key on the ground is made of a dark green metal, unlike anything you have ever seen. It seems unearthly and it, too, seems to effervesce in the subdued lighting of the pine forest. Perhaps it unlocks a treasure chest, or a hidden refuge?
