The room is neither too cool nor too warm. The bed is a four-poster of dark wood, carved, with furnishings to match. The bedding, curtains, and upholstery are a floral chintz in pink, yellow, and forest green. The overall effect is not too fussy or tacky, just classic, and elegantly feminine.
The trees are deciduous, but with a great length of bare trunk before the canopy of branches start high overhead. The ground is covered in ferns, with patches of flowers where a fallen tree, now moss-covered, has allowed a beam of sunlight to reach the ground. In places, cool streams run through, and there are occasional outcroppings of great rocks.
The path is a narrow strip of bare dirt, well-trodden, heading in a definite direction but not perfectly straight.
The water is a clear stream of about six feet wide, babbling over rocks in its bed. The water is cold, and small fish are visible darting about.
The ceramic goblet has a stable base, solid stem, and large bowl; it is painted white, with a blue vine motif.
It is a large, old-fashioned brass key, with a trefoil handle that has a red ribbon tied to it. The shaft is round, and the wards simple. It looks as though it would open the door to a great manor house.
