The room is spacious full of light. Sparsely furnished but yet elegant. There is a fireplace in the corner, there is no fire but the room is still warm. Bookshelves line the back wall and are full of rare publications. There is a bay window where you can look out onto a lake full of swans.
The forest is thick and green pine,ash and oak tree's everywhere. You can see beams of light shining through the branches.
The path throught the forest is one that has been well traveled. With the exception of the occasional branch or small shrub there are no obstructions. Wide enough for two people to traverse side by side with ease. The path is clearly visible and easy to navigate.
The path comes to an abrupt end at the edge of a raging river. There are falls and rocks that make the water seem to come alive and intice the few accasional passers by to enter and soak up the coolness of the water on a hot summer day.
As I reach the other side of the river I stumble upon a thermos the was left behind obviously by another hiker. Half full of some juice I wonder if it was forgotten or if the other person is still somewhere in the area.
In the middle of the path I find a key. It looks like one of those old skeleton keys that you would find in a Castle or something. I pick it up wondering what it might open. Is there a treasure chest somewhere or did someone drop it unknowingly while taking in the sights along the trail.
