The room is warm, heated by a small wood stove. It could be the inside of a log cabin. There are colorful quilts covering the furniture and a worn but clean braided rug on the floor. The floor made up of wide pine planks. The ceiling is low. The furniture is mismatched.
The forest is alive with tall, thin pine trees that sway slightly in the breeze. There is a stream and the path follows the stream. It is summer and quite bright but cool in the shade of the trees. I can hear birds chirping and the stream gurgling.
The path is flat and easily navigable. It is wide and seems like it was once used as a road. It is not clearly marked but because it is wide and flat, that is not a problem. It is not well-travelled.
It is a stream. Because it is summer the stream is low but the stream bed is flat and wide and very rocky. It would be possible to cross the river by jumping from rock to rock. There is a lot of debris, sticks and gravel caught up by the rocks. This is probably from a summer storm which forced the river to rise and then when the water receded, it left the debris.
It is a canteen, old fashioned but scrubbed clean on the outside. It has a green and red striped shoulder strap. The top is a little difficult to unscrew. There is some sand stuck between the cap and the canteen and it makes a horrible sound as I attempt to unscrew it.
It is old fashioned, large, heavy and rusty. I think it unlocks an old, unused shed. The shed is probably on the grounds of a large farm. The shed is no longer used because the family has a new pre-fabricated metal shed that they bought from Sears.
