I am in a tropical beach style room, with saltillo and talavera tile in cobalt blue and bright yellow on the floors and the sink, there are bright white linen curtains blowing gracefully through the open windows, through which a moist ocean breeze flows, and I can hear the calls of tropical birds. The walls are bright white, with wrought iron sconces and a huge terracotta sun hanging in the center. A king size bed is in the middle of the room, made up in crisp white linen. The room is warm enough to be naked and still be comfortable.
The forest is dark, but it is still daytime. The towering redwoods shade the trail, only allowing glints of sunlight through.
The path is easy to navigate, a dirt trail three feet across, during summer vacations people travel through here, but it is abandoned now. the trail is clearly marked.
A cold foggy ocean, rough, isolated, and grey.
