The sun has just risen. It's orangish slowly making it's way to yellow. The room is wood, natural and stained. It reflects the glow of the rising sun. Cold floors meet warm sunlight but not just yet. I still shiver with the cold. Hardwood furnishings look out onto the deck. A couch, covered in an indian blanket dominates the room.

Dark green leaves, dripping everywhere. It's dark, but not dark enough to use a flashlight. If it was raining the sound would be deafening.

It's a narrow dirt pathway. It winds through the forest without showing the next curve.

I arrive at a stream. It's the quiet point. If you were to travel farther downstream you would be able to hear the rapids quite clearly. From here it's a distant gurgle. The water is clear and cold. You can see the bottom of the stream with the rocks and sticks underneath the surface.

After crossing the stream, there is a metal cup on the shore sitting on the rock. It's a dark blue speckled coffee cup.

I find a gold key on the trail. I brush it off. It looks like a house key.
