The room is a bedroom. I think it is my dormitory room from freshman year of college. The room is warm enough that I do not think about what temperature it is. The basic furniture is standard institutional fare - sturdy desk, futon in the corner. The bed is my regular bed from home. The furnishings are a mixture, transported from various places I have lived or visited. The draperies are very warm, as if from a museum. The telephone is an old-fashioned phone I envied at a childhood friend's house. Another telephone is from the lab where I worked in college. The mirror from my dorm room is on the dresser.
The trees are tall Douglas Fir trees, with ferns closer to the ground. It is neither bright nor dark. The day is sunny, but the forest provides cover.
The path is clearly marked and easily navigated. One or two people can walk along it. It appears to be well-traveled, but I am alone.
The water is a wide stream. There are many rocks in it, and the water is moving very fast.
It's a coffee cup from Starbucks. It's very big, holding about 16 ounces. The bottom is wider than the top, but otherwise the design is very ordinary. It is dark green, with Starbucks written in black.
The key looks like an ordinary house key, one that has been duplicated many times. I think someone dropped it on the trail.
