The room is warm and sparsely populated with a comfortable chair and couch. The light from the window awakens me. I have slept on the couch and have four books next to me along with an almost whole pizza in a box on the floor.
The forest is thick with trees including many large oaks. There are acorns everywhere on the trail. It is dark and cold in the forest and my eyes are watering from allergies.
No one has walked on this narrow abandoned path for quite some time. I need to step carefully to avoid twisting an ankle. The path is barely visible and covered with leaves, stones, and sticks.
What a beautiful river! The sound of water moving quickly over the stones is a treat. The water is cool and clear. It is narrow, shallow and full of life. The air by the river smells and feels great.
The metal cup with a lid on it, likely used once for coffee, looks so out of place in this setting. Picking it up and tipping it, I see there is a little water in it now.
This appears to be a key to a Ford. It looks like one of my keys. I'm wondering if it is mine. I think it will unlock a car door or perhaps the trunk of a car.
