The floor is big stone, with a large red rug on the floor. The walls are unseen. The room is dark except for the light coming from the fireplace and candles. The chairs are old and worn, but well cared for. The fireplace is old large stones, with a giant wood mantle. It is warm near the fire, but cold everywhere else. Above the mantle a picture of a landscape rests.
The forest is a majority tall evergreens, with a few oak and maple trees that are orange. It is fall. The ground is shaded, and relatively dark, except for a few bright patches of sunlight that sneak through the canopy. The forest grows in a mountainous region.
The pathway is made out of woodchips, and the edges blend into the forest. The pathway is wide enough for two people to walk side by side. It winds its way through the forest, with sharp turns, so the path ahead isn't always visible. The pathway seems as though at some point in past it was maintained, but isn't anymore.
The body of water is a narrow stream, four feet across, that is broken up by a waterfall that is five or six feet tall. The water is shallow and clear, revealing the gravel bed of the stream. The water moves quickly and makes a bubbling noise.
The cup is old, and heavy pewter. It is goblet shaped, with delicate silver decoration on the outside.
The key is old-fashioned, and as big as my hand. It is ornate and dirty. It looks like it unlocks a trunk or secret drawer.
