There is a four poster, cherry wood bed, canopied with soft, forest green tool. A large, half-circle window over the bed alows just enough light into the room to permit a dusky red glow onto the hardwood floor. At the foot of a bed, there is a coffin-like trunk with a rusty latch--it's only been opened twice. A scarlet and gold rug lay stained before a massive fireplace aglow in flame. The room is small, but comfortable. There are books upon books on ancient, wooden shelves--all hardbound and old. A circular mirror, silver and tarnished, hangs directly above the fire place.

The forest begins abruptly at the foot of a lush hill of grass. It is composed entirely of maple trees, all massive in their age. It is golden in the sunset--the trees brilliant with thir red and bronze canopy. Fallen leaves, all perfect in shape (never tread on), lay underfoot like a rug, yet the trees seem to not have lost any leaves at all.

Ancient weddings have occured here, and a few unmarked cemetaries reside. Adults rarely see this place, as it is only truely appreciated in the mind of a child...therefore, this forest is often navigated by children who are in need of imaginary journeys. Although it may seem abandoned, it is full of old houses, each occupied with wise, and usually alone, persons. It is a vast forest; one which would seem impossible to escape in a day.

It is a thin brook...but one of a swift nature. Beautiful, untouched rocks, all different in shape and color, lay securely underneath the rushing waters. The water is clear with a slight red glow from the reflection of the leaves above. It is biting cold to the touch, but easily puts one into a trance when glanced upon. Single, unbroken leaves, all of different colors and textures, quickly dance down the current, still dry to the touch--and never tumbled. Patches of green moss cling to the loose mud around the brook. An occasional frog and minnow kiss the surface of the water to grasp a moment of air. It winds around hills to both the right and left, leaving one to truely guess the length.

It is an old, dirtied glass bottle of rum. It is a smaller container--one that strikes resemblance to a common flask. The metal top is rusted orange--never to be unscrewed again. The brown liquid surprisingly fills a good portion of the container (about 1/3). The bottle is halfway stuck in the mud, and lacks a lable...but the previous owner obviously carved their initials on the bottom--as the glass is thicker there.

It is a common brass key with three loops at the top. There are three jagged teeth, all oddly square and similar. The torso of the object is about two and a halve inches long, and about as thick as an earthworm. The brass is slightly tarnished, and the teeth and head are obviously never used. It seems to be older than it appears, and it could be easily seen on the leafy path, so it must have just recently fallen out of somebody's pocket. Perhaps this is the key to the chest in that room.
