The room has two old-style chairs, a fireplace. It is warmly decorated, yet cold despite a roaring fire. A reddish-orange paint covers the wall, and a matching rug sits on the floor, underneath the chairs.
The forest is a rainforest, filled with a wonderful array of flora and fauna. There are many old-growth evergreen trees, bushes, and moss can be seen everywhere. The sun tries to creep through the trees, but gets all but blocked by the thick layer of overlapping branches above.
The path isn't much of a path at all, instead it is an unexplored bit of wilderness that you continuously must beat down as you progress. An occassional fallen tree presents itself, teaming with growth on it, hindering your progress.
It leads to a waterfall, which drops to a pool of water, with a little river running down and away from you. The water is clear, sparkling, in a break between the trees on either side of the shore.
It is an abandoned water pouch, forgotten by some explorer long ago. No other evidence of his/her existence can be seen. Perhaps something happened further upstream, and the pouch imbedded itself here. The top is rusted shut, unopenable.
The key is golden, heavy, of a largish size, leading perhaps to a door that opens upon another world, a different dimension.
