I open an eye. It is strangly light around me, the pale walls covered with postors of popular culture, the television still left on from the previous night and the curtains open to show me the busy world of sea road outside the window.

Tall pine trees surround me, light in colour, as if they're covered in snow. Scotch pine i believe they're called. Of course, the trail is light because the forest is not dense here.

it is a narrow path, but the trees are set back from the trail, and so it is easy to pass. Further into the forest the tree-line becomes closer to the path, making it difficult to pass.

A small stream which winds through the forest. The stram is unbelievably dark, but clean, and the minerals from the source can be tasted.

It is a bottle with a sportscap and it looks like it has been tossed aside by a cyclist. It is blue and bears the print 'US Postal'

Small, silver unassuming. Looks like it fits a yale lock. At a guess, a house door.
