the room is well-lit, and is furnished in muted, neutral colors. there is a bed, with beige or off-white sheets. a pair of chairs is here; one is upholstered in black leather, the other in burgundy. light streams in through the single window; it appears overcast outside. there is a red satin pillow on the bed; it looks out-of-place in the room.
the forest is misty, and is difficult to see for any distance around. the trees are tall, evenly spaced, and thin. they have no low branches. the sky is overcast. the forest floor is covered with pine needles. there are no shrubs or brush; the forest looks manmade, or well kept.
the path is almost-non existant and unmarked. only trampled pine needles indicate a path at all. it looks as if it's only used once in a great while.
the stream is clear, cold, calm, and fresh. the water burbles quietly on its way, swirling around small rocks. the sound the stream makes is soothing.
it's a dark-colored wooden canteen, octagonal. it looks as if the outside has been oiled. attached to the sides is a thin, dark brown leather strap, for wearing it on the shoulder. it looks abandoned; it has some old leaves and pine needles half-covering it.
the key is made of silver, unornamented and gleaming in the light. it's a large key, like one made for a sturdy door or a chest. it's been left there recently.
