The room is large and light from two east facing windows bathes the room in warm golden light. The table is old and well used but solid. On one edge someone has carved a name, a womans name, Emily. In the middle of the table is a small silver frame with a womans picture, could this be Emily? Cool morning air comes in through the partly open door, with it comes the scent of wild flowers. On the bed plain white sheets and a patchwork quilt lie in a heap and the pillow is on the floor. Under one window and close to the bed is a night stand with a reading lamp and overflowing ashtray. On the window sill sit a still steaming cup of coffee and a pair of reading glasses. The walls of the room are a dark wooden paneling, it looks like walnut. Pictures of Native Americans adorn the walls and speak of a time when life was simple, a time that has been lost forever!
