It is bright because it is spring and the leaves are not out yet. The ground is mostly dirt and weeds. There is evidence of people having been there-- empty beer bottles and garbage can be seen.</p>

        <p>It is very wide and easily navigated, obviously well-travelled because of the lack of grass. It is perfectly visible to the naked eye. I would rather explore less obvious paths, though.</p>

The banks are very high and steep, though, but you may be able to reach the water by grabbing a tree overhanging the creek, or edging out on an overhanging root.</p>

        <p>The key is an iron skeleton key, long and heavy, with an ornate grille top and three teeth at angles to each other. It is attached to a simple, thin, metal loop. I think it opens a secret passageway or cellar under the forest and I am curious to find where this door might be.</p>
