Light comes through the tall deciduous trees. There is little vegetation on the ground -- mostly just dead leaves and some dead logs.

The path is fairly well marked, but not often used.

The water is cold, but in a clean way. It is a smallish stream, with a bit of a waterfall. It is narrow enough to hop across.

The flask is distressed metal, with a leather casing around it. It's lying on the bank of the stream.

The key is solid, skeleton key. It must open a gate somewhere -- probably down the path.
