The room is a very warm room, decorated in deep reds and browns. There are several couches and chairs, somewhat antique-looking, with velvet surfaces. There is a fireplace with a warm fire leaping within, and a large portrait or mirror over the mantle. On one wall there is a large window with beautiful heavy curtains; the curtains are drawn such that the only light is from the fire. The floor is carpeted.
It is a dark forest of pine trees. These trees are the dark and old kind. They are very tall, with deep, ponderous roots and interesting scars in twists in the bark. The forest floor is covered in pine needles and it is very quiet - any sound is muffled by the blanket of needles.
The path is an old path, maybe not more than a deer trail. It is clearly marked before it enters the forest, but not deep into the forest it peters out and is barely visible. It is an easily navigable but twisty path, and very narrow. It is not well-traveled by humans.
The body of water is a midsized brook. It is wide enough that you cannot simply jump across, but shallow enough that wading across will not wet your shirt. The water is not all that clear, but it is a healthy stream, supporting a thriving ecosystem.
The cup is a goblet. It is a solid and hefty cup, but well-traveled. It has a dent on one side. However, it is quite ornate, as if it had once belonged to someone important.
The key is an old-fashioned key, very simply made. It is rather large, and iron. It is rather old, but not rusted. It probably unlocks the door of a room in some old castle, which has since been renovated. The key probably fits no lock now.
