This is how you described the room:
Its a fairly warm room - warm enough that a jacket is too much to wear. The lighting is dim, and very non-traditional (a desk lamp here, a black light there). Two very comfy chairs are in the room, and a couple of blankets are visible.
The initial room is the subject’s childhood. What interests us here is the general atmosphere of the room, in addition to the level of furnishings described by the subject. This comfortable room suggests a childhood that was pleasant. The depth of description tells us that the subject has strong memories of childhood.
You wanted to stay in the room.
The subject did not want to grow up.
This is how you described the forest:
Lots of nature noises (things like birds chirping, squirrels running, etc) and a damp smell. Green fauna everywhere. The trees aren't nearly as visible as the small bushes and vines are. Its bright enough, the canopy up above covers most of the light, but a few streams are coming down very brightly.
The forest is growing up, and the trees are those adults with whom the subject interacted at that time. Small trees imply that the adults had a weak influence on the subject. A semi-dark forest tells us that the subject felt somewhat oppressed by the attention the adults gave.
This is how you described the path:
Its a narrow path, as the visibility is low (bushes, vines, etc). The path is obvious enough since its covered by sticks, and stones, and the leaves have been moved away, but its not worn much.
Adolescence is represented by the path through the forest. Poor visibility of the path tells us the subject was often confused by the changes brought on by adolescence. A narrow path suggests that the subject had limited options for emotional growth at this time. The lack of evidence of fellow travelers suggests strong feelings of isolation at that time. That plants are the major source of obstructions tells us that the subject’s problems arose mostly from interactions with adults.
This is how you described the water:
The water is swift and very forceful. Its clear, with few rapids, although it isn't flat.. the bottom is very bumpy which effects the shape of the water on top. Its a natural flow.
The water is the subject’s sexuality. What interests us here is the clarity of the water (representing attitude) and its movement (representing libido). Rushing, violent water indicates a powerful, vigorous, and quite possibly compulsive sex drive. Clear water tells us that the subject has no issues regarding sex.
When you came to the water, you crossed it.
The subject is open to new sexual experiences.
This is how you described the cup:
Its a leather-ish pouch that holds water. It has a hole in the bottom that leaks small amounts of water. It looks hand stitched. It could probably hold about a quart when full.
The vessel, or specifically the practicality of the vessel, is how the subject approaches marriage or bonding. A practical container indicates that the subject is pragmatic when it comes to questions of marriage.
You left the cup behind.
The subject is not interested in marriage.
This is how you described the key:
Its old and warn. Very warn. Its grimy, and very tarnished. It probably opens a large private garden
The key is the ideal career for the subject. What interests us here is how the key appears (representing how others view the career) and what it may open (representing the subject’s goals for the career). Having it open a private garden suggests that the subject is expecting the career to provide personal enrichment. Old-fashioned keys suggest that the subject desires a traditional career.
You avoided the bear.
In a crisis, the subject prefers the indirect, non-confrontational approach.
When you came to the wall, you tried to go around it.
The wall represents death: by trying to walk around it, the subject shows an acknowledgment of death, but also a need for an alternative to its finality, such as an afterlife or reincarnation.
