        <p>The trees are sparse but in a few places allowing a spectacular view of the hillside. I don't know what type of trees they are and I don't care. I'm just happy that they are only about twice my height and don't shroud the view. The sky is clear and it is sunny. I can see deer, raccoons, and other forest animals from a distance so as not to disturb them.</p>

        <p>The path is somewhat typical of all mountain trails - about two feet wide, mostly dirt, with a few scattered rocks. It is clearly visible, but not particularly well-travelled. Even though the trail was navigated to be the least taxing, a person must be in a reasonable physical condition to reach the trail's destination.</p>

        <p>The trail ends at a 1000 foot waterfall. As I approach the it, the mist created from the downpour cools my heat exhausted body. To fully rejuvenate me for the return trip, I refill my canteen a safe distance from deafening roar.</p>

        <p>The key is old and rusted and not attached to anything. I wouldn't have noticed it had I not kicked it up from the dirt. Though I suspect it is a key to an automobile or a house, the missing key chain implies that it was discarded by a previously hiker intentionally.</p>
