The room is cool, verging on cold as the fire in the hearth has gone out. The bed is big and well draped in dark fabrics, soft and inviting. There is a chair against the wall with a cloak across the back, a dresser in the corner near a narrow window that lets in only a little of the morning light. There are no decorations otherwise
The forest is made up of a variety of trees, but mainly the sticky evergreens. They sway in a whistling wind that casts deep shadows everywhere, giving the area the feeling of being alive and waiting for you.
the path is fairly narrow but well worn with fallen logs half buried here and there as steps up and down hillsides. At times it is most dangerous and seems to want to trip you, and other times it seems to urge you on easily. Every twist in the path brings a new element of the forest into view.
it is natural, a wide deep pool of crystal clear water flowing from some high mountain snowcap. It sparkles in the light as if alive and singing in the sun.
The vessel is delicately carved wood, highly polished and obviously well cared for. Small animals dance around the rim in a procession of life.
elegant and ornamental it is made of silver. Scroll-work decorates the top. It looks and feels like a door key to something I've missed and need to find.
