<p>This is kind of an odd room. Half of it looks warm and inviting. There's a nice comfortable sofa, a bookshelf with plenty of interesting books and magazines, and a stereo with plenty of CD's. It's all nicely upholstered, warmly lit, and has plenty of potted plants and greenery. The other half of the room looks cold and sterile: there's a steel card table with a couple folding chairs and a bunch of religious tracts decrying human nature and sin. The walls on that side are painted a dull gray. The bed is right in the middle. I'd like to sit on the warm inviting side, but something tells me I shouldn't. (I get the impression someone else is planning to sit there.) I sit at one of the folding chairs.</p>

<addl>Note that while the subject recognizes that one side is much more pleasant than the other, he purposely refuses to go there: it is for “someone else.” This self-denial suggests that the subject purposely made his childhood uncomfortable, because he felt he was unworthy of happiness.</addl>

<p>It's a small running stream, which looks like it could be coming from a small spring just up the hill. Then again, it could easily be from a hidden sewer drain. The water looks clear, cool, and inviting. It's almost cool enough to drink, or to wade in, but it could easily be from a sewer so that might be a dumb idea. The little stream looks like it runs downhill for a little while through a meadow, eventually emptying into a larger creek.</p>
