The room is in my basement. It has unpainted walls, bare floors and no curtains. I don't know how I got here.

The forest is an older forest with lodgepole pine, and a few deciduous trees. The trees are space a fair distance apart and there is plenty of light.

The path is well-worn. It runs through the middle of the trees but there is plenty of room to pass.

The end of the path drops into a small stream that empties into a lake. The lake is held in place by a dyke. The water is perfectly clear and very cold.

There is a cup by the edge of the water. It is a tin cup with a handle on the side. Slightly beaten up, but still perfectly usable.

The key looks like a normal house key. It is gold and worn. It has been laying here for a very long time.
