The room is barren of furniture with the exception of a small metal cot and a writing desk. The floors are highly polished to the point of being able to see your reflection in them. It is cool, but not uncomfortably so. The metal door stands slightly ajar.

The forest is a thick stand of pines leading down the side of a mountain. It is difficult to see deeply down the path.

The path has been travelled frequently. It is wide, suggesting that it has been travelled by groups. However, there is a covering of pine needles along it, and it may not have been used in a while.

There is a small creek flowing here. The water is very shallow and very clear. You can see rocks and plants growing at the bottom of the creek as well as an occasional fish swimming by. The water is ice cold to the touch.

Someone has discarded the cup from a McDonald's meal on the side of the creek. It is fairly old, and is beginning to fall apart from exposure to the elements.

There is a very generic looking key here. It is long and narrow with two teeth on the end and a loop at the top, like the stereotypical key from the early 20th century. It probably unlocks a desk or cabinet.
